About Dream Fabrics
Dream Fabrics is a fast growing UK-based e-commerce business specialising in textile and fabric products. The company operates multiple online retail websites and sells primarily through digital channels and social media. Due to continued growth in online sales and increased demand across our online platforms, we are looking to expand our digital team.
Job role
We are seeking a Web Designer to support the design, layout and user experience of our e-commerce websites. The role will focus on maintaining and improving website presentation, product listings and front-end functionality to support online sales, customer engagement and efficient day to day operations.
This is a hands on role suited to someone with experience in web design and who is comfortable working with e-commerce platforms and collaborating with marketing and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, update and maintain the visual layout, structure and user experience of the company’s e-commerce websites
Upload, organise and maintain product listings, images and website content across multiple websites
Customise and maintain website themes, templates and page layouts to ensure usability, accessibility and consistent branding
Implement front-end website updates, including new sections, widgets and interactive elements
Ensure websites are responsive and perform effectively across desktop and mobile devices
Apply SEO best practices to website structure, page layouts and content presentation to improve search engine visibility
Prepare and manage digital design and image assets for use across websites and online platforms
Work with internal teams to improve website usability and support efficient product and order handling through clear and intuitive interface design
Test and review website designs to identify opportunities to improve navigation, user experience and engagement
Ensure all website designs comply with company brand guidelines and recognised web usability standards
Skills and Experience
Experience in web design and front-end website implementation
Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS and front-end scripting
Experience working with e-commerce platforms (such as Shopify or similar)
Understanding of user experience (UX) and responsive design principles
Familiarity with SEO fundamentals related to website structure and content presentation
Ability to manage website content and product information accurately
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Good communication skills and ability to work with non-technical team members
